Colorful Architecture
This reminds me of the streets of Bermuda. Even though it is a photograph, it could do well blown up and sold as a print.

South African Art -Flowers

PRETORIA BASED ARTIST and sculptor, Freddie Skinner draws his inspiration from his environment: things he sees and
experiences. His paintings captures the way he views the world and is
very much the essence of his inspiration.
Freddie's is unique in that he refuses to be bound to one style or theme and is always exploring with new

different and lavish in the market for people to enjoy and experience.

Turning Old into Lavish- Animal Sculptures Made from Broken CDs
When I first saw this sculpture, I thought it was incredible...AND then I realized it was made from all recycled materials and broken CD's.
The Artists name is Sean Avery. He describes his art work as "A blend many different man made materials together to
make them appear strangely organic, with a distinct sense of movement."
Please visit his gallery over at Deviant Art for even more photos.

Owl's Figures
Owls are definitely in this year and it's clear why.
They are adorable and so lavish! I love the diminutive little size of these and how
eclectic they look grouped together.

Amazing 100% Handcrafted Sculptures
I love the new Giavanni Giftware Collection. Right when I saw this handcrafted sculpture, I was drawn to it. This piece in particular is a collector's item and has been designed and 100% handcrafted by the Giavanni team. Their unique talents and imaginations turn each creation into a beautiful gift ..or decoration. You can see I bought one for my room. It goes so well with red (curtains, bead spread, red painted room). Also, because of the lady's red dress it goes with brown tones.
My Inspiration For This Blog
For years I have had people telling me I had an eye
for picking out decorative and unique everyday piece's that add vibrancy and
style to one's home or life.
It wasn't until I came across the blog entitled The
Sartorialist that I decided to share this interest of mine with the world. The
Sartoralist is a blog, contrarily about fashion, but involves a man that goes
around Manhattan with a camera and takes pictures of clothing that inspire him. Today his blog is one of the top 50 most influential blogs in the world and attracts more than 70, 000 readers daily.
Although I am a trained chemist and have a Masters
degree in engineering, I believe everything has sense structure and chemistry,
just in various forms.
I hope this blog inspires you to be more in tune
with your surroundings and to appreciate the things in life allow you to
express yourself and be creative.
Yes, this is a minimalist blog, but I hope you will
find it mesmeric and oddly beautiful in its simplicity. We’re sorry, but this item cannot be shipped outside of the
US.

Vibrant South African Art
I don't know about you, but I have always been inspired by South African art. This picture was painted for a women's day celebration is
South Africa by Marietjie Henning. The flow of the vertical lines I found quite
relaxing. Also the contrast in such vibrant colors stood out from a mile away
and seemed to create a conversation with every person that walked by. I really
like the movement of their heads and how the painting has a sense of magic to
it.
